Introduction

The standard sleeping bag size is 195cm for people up to 195 tall. This is a size that predominately suits men and can be a little long for the average woman.

For average height women the 195 bag allows extra room in the foot area so that in sub-zero arctic conditions to store your boots and/or camera – computer batteries to stop them freezing in the cold conditions.

The Tundra Difference

Whilst the 180 bag is about 10% shorter, we use the same amount of down as the 195 bag. The ‘extra’ down is distributed throughout the sleeping bag so it is in fact a little warmer than the standard length bag.

All our sleeping bags, including the shorter and longer length ones also have extra down in the foot area to increase temperature rating of this area by 5°C. Down filling of the sleeping bag outer is a computer controlled process.
